How this helps you
In plain terms: since defensive-contribution points reward tackles plus CBI, defenders in the top-right of this chart are hitting those thresholds most consistently — look here for cheap defenders quietly banking points outside of clean sheets and goals. Greener dots have the best combined DefCon/90 rate — the exact number that decides the bonus.
How to find DEFCON defenders in FPL
The FPL DEFCON chart compares tackles per 90 with clearances, blocks and interceptions per 90 for defenders. Bubble colour represents the combined defensive-contribution rate, helping identify players whose work without the ball can earn points independently of clean sheets, goals and assists.
Focus on defenders with reliable minutes in the top-right and greener part of the chart. The ranked table also considers season points and upcoming fixtures, giving a more complete view of DEFCON candidates for transfers, rotations and wildcard squads.
